Google Alert – Bangladesh Army
Members of the Bangladesh Army have cordoned off a house in Kadirganj area of Rajshahi city following the recovery of a large cache of arms and explosive-making materials.
On Saturday morning, a raid was conducted at a coaching centre named ‘Doctor English’, located within the building.
According to a source involved in the operation, a team from the 40 East Bengal Regiment recovered two foreign-made air guns, one revolver, a cartridge, three boxes of air gun pellets, locally made weapons, a GPS device, walkie-talkies, 10 SIm cards, binoculars, explosive-making materials, narcotics, and numerous other items during the raid.
However, no official confirmation has yet been provided by any officer of the 40 East Bengal Regiment.
When asked about the incident, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police spokesperson Gaziur Rahman stated that he had not received any official information regarding the army operation. He added that details would be shared if and when the army formally hands the matter over to the police.
