Two men have been arrested after a female student of Cumilla University was sexually harassed, mugged and later thrown off a bus heading towards Chattogram on Friday.
Witnesses detained two of the five attackers, identified as Ali Hossain and Mohammad Ali, and handed them over to police.
The incident sparked a protest by students who blocked the Dhaka-Chattogram highway, causing heavy traffic congestion.

Later, university officials, army officials, the Upazila Executive Officer, and the Superintendent of Police met the protesting students.
After receiving assurances that the attackers would be punished, the students ended the blockade, but congestion continued to persist until 5 pm.
