The United States and Bangladesh have successfully concluded Tiger Shark, a bilateral military exercise aimed at strengthening regional security, enhancing interoperability, and fostering mutual capabilities between their armed forces.
The exercise underscores the deepening defense partnership between the two nations and their shared commitment to peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
Tiger Shark brought together personnel from the US Indo-Pacific Command and the Bangladesh Armed Forces for a series of integrated training activities.
These included medical training, patrolling, marksmanship, swimming and diving, and close-quarters combat, designed to build operational readiness and coordination.
“This joint exercise is a testament to our shared vision for a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Indo-Pacific,” said US Chargé d’Affaires Ambassador Tracey Jacobson. “Tiger Shark symbolises the robust partnership between the United States and Bangladesh.”
Beyond tactical drills, the exercise featured subject matter expert exchanges, joint planning sessions, and simulation exercises to enhance collaborative responses to regional challenges.
These activities aim to prepare both nations for coordinated action in future contingencies across the Indo-Pacific.
The US Indo-Pacific Command, America’s oldest and largest combatant command, oversees military operations across the Asia-Pacific, working with allies and partners to promote regional stability and security.
