Prosecution witness Sayeed Hafizur Rahman Khokan Monday told the International Crimes Tribunal that three government officials working in favour of the liberation war were brutally killed by the occupation forces after capturing them from their workplaces on May 5, 1971, reports UNB.
They are Khokan’s elder brother Saif Mizanur Rahman, then a serving magistrate and deputy collector of Pirojpur, Abdur Razzaq, SDO in-charge and Faizur Rahman, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) and father of noted writer Humayun Ahmed.
“The army dragged them into a jeep where Delwar Hossain Sayedee and Rajakar Munnaf were sitting,” Khokan, PW 27, recalled while making his deposition before the tribunal.
