Google Alert – Bangladesh Army
One alleged drug peddler was arrested with firearms from Sadar Upazila of Brahmanbaria district on Saturday evening.
The arrested is Suman Mia, son of Soleman Mia of Khatihata area in the upazila.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from Ashuganj Army Camp led by camp commander Major Imtiaz Mahmud Khan conducted a raid on Saturday evening and arrested Suman.
Bangladesh Army also seized 1050 pieces of Yaba pills, 22 bottles of Scuff syrup, 10 grams of marijuana, six locally made weapons, 3 mobile phones and a large amount of cash Tk 663,000 from his possession.
Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Mozaffar Hossain confirmed the incident and said Bangladesh Army has handed over the arrested to police station.
The arrested has been produced before the court after legal action was taken against him.
