Army Searches Two Homes in Guimara!

The Bangladesh Army soldiers searched the homes of two
villagers in Dholiapara, Ward No. 1 of Guimara Sadar Union, under Guimara
Upazila in Khagrachari district.

The search took place last night, Tuesday (August 19,
2025), at around 9:30 PM.

The villagers whose homes were searched are: Santosh
Tripura (40), son of Bajendra Tripura, and Charan Kumar Tripura (45), son of
Noyaram Tripura.

According to the victims, around 9:30 PM last night, a
group of about 50 army personnel from the Matiranga Army Zone arrived in
Dholiapara and, under the pretense of looking for “terrorists,”
raided their homes and ransacked their belongings.

This unwarranted search by the army has sparked anger
and concern among local residents.

At the time of writing this report (9:30 AM), locals
reported that the army personnel were returning to the Matiranga Zone.
