Army Stationed at Dabhua School in Kaukhali, Patrols in the Area

Reports say an army unit is stationed at a local
school in the Dabbua area of Kaukhali Upazila in Rangamati district. From
there, they are conducting patrols in the surrounding areas.

According to sources, on Thursday morning (August 21,
2025), a group of army personnel arrived at Dabbua School in two vehicles from
the Godar Par army camp. Locals reported that from the school, the troops have
been patrolling the nearby areas including Pachu Para, Chowdhury Para, and
Dabbua Headman Para.

The army patrols have sparked fear and anxiety among
the local residents.

Meanwhile, it was reported that yesterday, a team of
army personnel led by Lakshmichari Zone Commander Lt. Colonel Tajul Islam
conducted a raid at the house of a man named Kamdev Chakma in Dewan Para, under
Barmachari Union of Lakshmichari Upazila in Khagrachari district.

The team returned to the zone today after the
operation. During the raid, it is alleged that the soldiers looted over taka
900,000 (approximately USD 10,500).
