Google Alert – BD Army
The update was shared in an administrative post from Nur’s official Facebook page on Friday afternoon.
According to the post, as Nur’s condition has worsened slightly, doctors have recommended that he remain in a completely quiet environment. However, the atmosphere at the hospital is being disrupted due to the presence of large numbers of visitors.
Party leaders and well-wishers were urged not to gather at the hospital and instead to pray for his recovery from their respective locations.
On the evening of August 29, following an initial clash in Kakrail, a second round of violence broke out around 830 pm between activists of the Jatiya Party and Gono Odhikar Parishad. Law enforcement personnel intervened to disperse both groups.
During the incident, Nur was standing in front of the Jatiya Party office when police and army personnel baton-charged the activists of both parties. He fell in the chaos and sustained injuries. Since then, he has been undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
